A national strike on taxis and public transportation means (metro, buses, etc) on the day of arrivals and opening of the Meeting.

Utilizing the excellent knowledge of local transportation peculiarities as well as the strong and trusted relationships with local suppliers, Erasmus managed to transfer over 1.500 people from the Airport to the city center. Later on, on the same evening Erasmus also efficiently transferred 2.000 people to the Odeon of Herodes Atticus for a unique Opening Ceremony in this exclusive and historical venue, located at the foot of the Acropolis. Participants had more opportunities to live experiences in landmark historical monuments of Athens, such as the early morning fun run organized by Erasmus in the Kallimarmaron Panathenaic Stadium, the site of the first Modern Olympics in 1896.
