
Dr. Seitz, born in Hamburg, Germany attended the Medical University of Hamburg, the Witwatersrand Medical School in Johannesburg, South Africa and the Medical University of Vienna, Austria where he received his medical degree in 1999. He completed his Urology residency at the Medical University of Vienna Austria under the direction of Prof. Michael Marberger. In 2006 he became Fellow of of the European Board of Urology (FEBU). From 2007-2010 he was head of the stone center and endourology unit at the dept. of Urology in Bolzano, Italy. In 2008 he graduated with professoral thesis at the Medical University of Vienna. From 2010-2013 he implemented the robotic surgery program at St. Johns of God Hospital, Vienna Austria. 2013 Dr. Seitz returned to the dept. of Urology at the Medical Univ. of Vienna under the direction of Prof. Shahrokh Shariat.
Dr. Seitz is Associate Professor and vice chairman of the Department of Urology and head of the stone center and robotic program at the Medical University of Vienna. His research interests focus on urolithiasis and uro-oncology. He is member of the German and Austrian working Group on urolithiasis, the Austrian working group on laparoscopy / robotic surgery and gender medicine and head of the Austrian working group on diagnostic imaging in Urology.
He is Member of the European Guideline Panel on Urolithiasis, the European Urolithiasis Society (eULIS) and the International Alliance on Urolithiasis (IAU).
He has published several papers in national and international journals as well as presented his research at several international conferences. Also he has been invited for live surgery meetings in multiple occasions.
